This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share
information when you use the AI Doc Scanner: PDF & OCR Android
app (package com.ivkeyminds.aidocscanner).

AI Doc Scanner is an offline-first document scanner. Most processing happens entirely on your device. Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- On-device data. Scanned documents, OCR text, tags, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
- Camera and storage access. The app requests camera permission to scan documents and storage permission to save/export files. Images are processed on-device using ML Kit and TensorFlow Lite.
- Usage analytics. The app may use Microsoft Clarity for Mobile Apps to help understand usage and improve the product. This can include interaction events (such as taps and navigation), device/app information, and performance signals.
- Diagnostics and crash reports. The app may collect crash reports and diagnostic logs to troubleshoot and improve reliability.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate app features (scanning, OCR, PDF export, image-to-text conversion).
- Monitor, debug, and improve app performance and reliability.
- Understand usage patterns and improve UX (via analytics).
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app:
- Microsoft Clarity (analytics).
- Google ML Kit (on-device OCR, document scanning, text recognition, entity extraction). ML Kit processes data locally on your device.
- TensorFlow Lite (on-device AI models for document edge detection and image enhancement). TensorFlow Lite processes data locally on your device.
We do not sell your personal information. Your scanned documents and OCR results are not uploaded to any server.
Data retention
- On-device data (scans, OCR text, tags, preferences) is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Analytics/diagnostics may be retained according to the policies of the providers we use.
Access and deletion
All your documents and data are stored locally on your device. You can:
- Delete individual scans within the app.
- Clear all app data in Android settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data.

Security
Your scanned documents are stored only on your device and are not transmitted over the network. The app does not require an internet connection for core functionality.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
